The mystery surrounding Matt Reeves’s The Batman movie is still bothering fans as nothing about the film’s storyline, plot or casting details have been revealed so far. But for now, Reeves is making sure to let the fanbase know that the caped crusader project is currently his main priority.
The Batman director recently took some time off and visited a Batman ’66 exhibit at The Hollywood Museum in Hollywood, California. He took to Twitter to share some pictures of the exhibits including a picture of the original Batmobile and costumes of Batman, Riddler, Penguin, and both versions of Catwoman. The last time we heard Reeves talking about The Batman movie was at the Television Critics Association event last month when he revealed that he is currently drafting the film’s script which is likely to get completed in the next couple of weeks.
A recent production listing claimed that the movie could start filming as early as next Spring with Ben Affleck still possibly attached. Affleck has been listed as a producer. So, it still remains unconfirmed if he will reprise the Dark Knight for the solo movie.
Notably, Affleck was earlier attached to direct, star and write The Batman movie, but later on, he decided to drop out of writing and then directing to concentrate on acting. Considering the fact that Affleck’s high post-rehab insurance costs could be of an issue, the filmmakers might rope in a new actor to play the Caped Crusader.
It is rumored that Reeves’ script possibly features a story about a younger Batman. If it is the case then fans might not see Affleck donning the Batman suit again. The film is rumored to include Penguin as a villain and possibly a story involving The Court Of Owls.
The Batman movie still doesn’t have a release date attached yet. More information on the film is expected to be announced soon.
