The Batman music composer wraps up scoring soundtrack, praises orchestra

It looks like Matt Reeves’ The Batman is on track for its scheduled release date with post-production work going as planned. Since the DC film wrapped up production earlier in March, the team has been busy completing work behind the scenes, especially for composer Michael Giacchino in scoring a breathtaking soundtrack for Robert Pattinson’s the Dark Knight.

On Saturday, Giacchino revealed his score for The Batman had reached the “final day” of work. The composer confirmed that he has wrapped up composing the soundtrack for Reeves’ DC film project and spoke highly of the orchestra team. You can check out the tweet below.

Back in February, DC fans got a taste of Giacchino’s grim and chilling score for The Batman via the camera test teaser clip. An extended version of the track was coupled with the background score for The Batman main trailer revealed during DC FanDome.

The grim score could go on to become iconic for Pattinson’s version of Batman. Mainly due to its similarities with the classic Batman animated series. Moreover, many are already calling the score noteworthy in comparison to Giacchino’s past soundtrack for Doctor Strange & the recent Spider-Man films. Perhaps, Giacchino’s theme for Batman may reach the top to stand in line with Danny Elfman’s classic theme as well as Han Zimmer’s grim score.

Expectations remain high for the upcoming new caped crusader with even DC Universe’s very own Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot welcoming the new stars. So far, most eyes are set on Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman. Speaking with Variety, the Wonder Woman star even expressed her compliments for the two stars saying:

“Rob looks amazing, I love his voice and I love the whole tone of everything.” “I love Zoë. She looks incredible. She’s a sweetheart. She’s a talented woman,” the Wonder Woman star said. “And I’m so happy to have another female as a comrade.”

The Batman will hit theatres on March 4, 2022.
