The Boys season 3 episode 5 release date, when to watch on Prime Video, what to expect from new cast & more

The wait is almost over for The Boys season 3 episode 5 and after episode 4’s Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) cliffhanger, Homelander (Antony Starr)  threatening Starlight (Erin Moriarty) and The Soldier Boy’s (Jensen Ackles) escape – the anticipation remains high to witness the aftermath of Butcher’s (Karl Urban) decisions. Here is when viewers can expect this week’s release on Amazon Prime Video.

Since the airing of The Boys season 3 episode 4, a few teasing announcements from Prime Video revealed that episode 5 will have a musical number. Furthermore, the arrival of a new character called The Legend was confirmed and will be played by Stranger Things 4 star Paul Reiser. His role is equivalent to Marvel’s Stan Lee and is credited in The Boys universe for creating comics based on The Seven and other Vought superheroes.

When will The Boys season 3 episode 5 air on Amazon Prime?

Titled, “The Last Time to Look on This World of Lies”, The Boys season 3 episode 5 will stream on June 17, 2022, Friday on Prime Video. Unless there’s another technical glitch on Vought+ like episode 4’s delay which left many fans enraged. The fifth EP will be available to watch at 5 PM PT in the USA on 16 due to time zone difference, 1 AM BST in the UK and 5:30 IST in India.

Meanwhile, the official social media account for The Boys is doing its bit in amping up expectations for this Friday. A few behind-the-scenes images were released of Kimiko, Jack Quaid’s Hughie, Laz Alonso’s Mother’s Milk & others. Speaking of Kimiko, her aforementioned cliffhanger might have been spoiled in episode 5’s promo offering glimpses of the musical taking place inside a hospital and Kimiko dancing along with Frenchie (Tomer Capone). But could it be a dream sequence? It’s unclear though, from the looks of Butcher and Hughie’s face in the clip, there seem to be more jaw-dropping elements, so what more can viewers ask.

Aside from the sheer hype for episode 5, the sixth episode, “Herogasm” might top all from season 3, or at least according to fans of the comic book. The Boys 3 is currently streaming on Prime Video.
