2021 might turn out to be a big year for Warner Bros. going by its DC film line-up. It seems like The Flash solo movie project might also manage to get a 2021 release date if the latest report on its production start date turns out to be accurate.
According to GWW, The Flash movie is hoping to start production later this year in November.
The Flash solo movie will be directed by Johnathon Goldstein and John Francis. The two recently wrote the script for Spider-Man: Homecoming’ writer. Moreover, they will also be penning the speedster project as well.
its been a year since the duo directors got on board The Flash project which has already faced several hurdles with changes of directors due to creative differences. but it was earlier noted that the project is still yet to move past its pre-production stage due to the fact that the studio decided to give the directors more time to work on its script.
The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise also reportedly played a role in The Flash project’s delay.
Ezra Miller is still on board the project to play the titular role. Kiersey Clemons was cast to play as Iris West but its currently unknown if the actress is still part of the DCEU.
Billy Cudrup played as Henry Allen, father to Miller’s Barry Allen/The Flash in Justice League. The actor’s involvement with the solo movie project also remains unknown.
Clemons’ first appearance as Iris West was in Justice League but her scene ended up being cut from the theatrical version.
No details regarding the project are available yet. The movie was earlier titled as ‘Flashpoint’ and was said to adapt the comic storyline. But those plans were reportedly scrapped.
The Flash solo movie does not have a title or a release date assigned yet.
