The Flash producer confirms music score has wrapped up, music note teases DCEU’s Multiverse

The DCEU is officially getting a multiverse theme track for The Flash, as revealed in Composer Benjamin Wallfisch’s music notes for the standalone movie. A recent update from The Flash producer Barbara Muschietti once again assures the DC film is on track for its scheduled 2023 release.

The Flash has seen its fair share of massive stumbling blocks but ever since Warner Bros. Discovery made its commitment to release the movie following its damage control meeting with Ezra Miller, fans have remained hopeful (with the release of a tie-in comic) even though the recent rumor mill suggested the project was undergoing rewrites. But Barbara’s social media post indicates the project is locked in with the latest news revealing the team has wrapped up on The Flash score. Earlier, the producer had shared a clip of the titular hero’s theme track.

The producer shared a series of images expressing her appreciation for Wallfisch and the team. One video shows Director Andy Muschietti virtually present in the recording room. But the image that caught people’s attention features the composer with his music notes on the table. A closer look and readers can notice the title of two theme tracks termed as “Are You Ready” and “The Multiverse”. Check it out below.

DC fans would be familiar with Wallfisch’s works from 2019’s Shazam!. Moreover, he’s also collaborated with the Muschietti duo serving as a composer for 2017’s It. If that wasn’t enough, the artist even worked alongside Hans Zimmer composing additional music for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The Flash has continued to test with impressive scores from early audience screening at WBD’s lot. Moreover, most of the praises were aimed at Sasha Calle’s Supergirl though her future is currently uncertain with the recent studio changes. Although Miller is expected to be a part of the press tour to some capacity, some insiders have insisted the star will not return to reprise the speedster role.

The DC Extended Universe venturing into the multiverse could open opportunities for potential course correction. At this moment, it’s the only viable option to replace DC’s Barry Allen speedster with perhaps Wally West.

The Flash hits theatres on June 23, 2023.
