The Flash season 9’s ending has Arrowverse fans celebrating best & worst moments from Grant Gustin starrer DCTV show & more

It’s a bittersweet moment for Arrowverse fans as The Flash season 9 episode 13 officially concludes the Grant Gustin starrer speedster series & brings down the curtain on the DCTV universe. From discussing the show’s critically acclaimed segments like season 4 & its villain The Thinker to the finale wrapping up by introducing three new speedsters, here are the best and worst moments according to stans from social media reactions.

The Flash season 9 finale is the end of an era for Arrowverse as the last CW show based on a DC Comics property comes to an end. The Flash season 9 Episode 13 pitted Barry Allen and Eddie Thawne’s Cobalt Blue (Rick Cosnett) to a final showdown while the rest of the speedster gang handled Godspeed, Savitar, Zoom and Reverse-Flash.

Barry risks it all by stepping into the Negative Speed Force and convinces Cobalt Blue to drop his plans through words rather than violence. It in turn finally puts an end to Barry’s face-off with the Negative Speed Force. The show wraps up by bringing back Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) after Khione ascends from her body, reversing Eddie Thawne’s death and ultimately ending with Barry sharing his Speed Force powers to three new individuals: Jess Chambers, Max Mercury and Avery Ho.

Going by social media reactions, The Flash TV series fans are rather more interested in discussing the pivotal moments from the show rather than season 9’s final episode. Though Some stans were saddened to know there was a potential spin-off in store after witnessing The Flash season 9 episode 13.

A few also noted the coincidence of DCEU and the Arrowverse both concluding together. The two worlds have existed parallelly especially since the DCTV show and the live-action universe had a crossover in the Crisis on Infinite Earths arc. Moreover, the Ezra Miller starrer Flashpoint-inspired movie was announced eight days after the airing of the first episode from the Grant Gustin featuring CW show on October 7, 2014. It’s astonishing to know the show has come to an end while the feature film is still almost a month away from its release.

While the show fell off the radar for many DCTV followers after season 4, fans are still thankful for Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin and Tom Cavanagh for carrying the show to its finale. Readers can check it out below.

Since it marks the conclusion of the Arrowverse, many also mentioned the best parts from other DCTV shows like Legends of Tomorrow, particularly moments like season 3 episode 17 when Gorilla Grodd attempted to kill a young Barrack Obama. Furthermore, while the DC lore’s big-bad adaptations were not perfect in Arrowverse, the fanbase has still praised the inter-connected TV universe for introducing villains such as Deathstroke, Prometheus, Zoom, Reverse Flash, Damien Darkh, Cicada and many more.

All in all, the larger fan following is in agreement that the first few seasons of Arrow and The Flash were pique moments of the DCTV universe. On the bright side, Barry Allen continues to be The Flash on Earth-Prime and may deal still have to deal with Cobalt Blue being a throne and potential new hurdles that require more speedsters although they may never appear on the small screen again.

The Flash season 9 episode 13 will be available to stream for free on the CW portal from May 26.
