The Gifted is currently on winter hiatus. When it returns next year, the Fox’s Marvel series will air its final three episodes.
As reported earlier, the Season 1 will wrap up with a two-hour finale scheduled to air on Jan. 15. TV Line has released the first look at the highly anticipated episode. The photo reveals that The Strucker twins will reunite to use their “Fenris” power. Check it out below.
The photo from the season finale shows Andy (Percy Hynes White) and Lauren (Natalie Alyn) holding hands to combine their mutant powers in what looks like the Mutant Underground’s Atlanta area hideout. It is expected to lead to some big destruction.
The Struckers recently discovered their powers. In an attempt to escape Sentinel Services at Trask Power station, the twins tested their powers. However, Andy refrained from unravelling their true potential and pulled his hand away. They were rescued by Esme and her sisters who later revealed to be their enemies.
When the show returns, Mutants’ war with the Humans continue. Their struggle to survive in the world is not yet over.
Meanwhile, the second half of the season will reveal more about the Mutant Underground. The series will explore Mutant Underground’s origins and their connection to X-Men. In an interview with Bustle, actress Emma Dumont, who plays the role of Polaris, revealed that the show will also shed light on her father Magneto’s storyline.
“There’s a good chunk of the second half of the season that deals with Polaris and her family lineage and the repercussions of that,” Dumont said. “In the finale, we sort of see the origins of where the Mutant Underground came from, as far as Polaris and her story.”
The Gifted stars Stephen Moyer as Reed Strucker, Amy Acker as Caitlin Strucker, Sean Teale as Eclipse, Natalie Alyn Lind as Lauren Strucker, Cody Bell as Jace Turner, Jamie Chung as Blink and more. Keep visiting Pursue News for more information and updates
