The Gifted Season 2 Casting Call Reveals Search For Extras To Play Sick Mutants, Bryan Singer Still EP?

Earlier on Saturday, Fox announced that the Mutant Underground will be back for more action and to fight for Mutant Rights this fall. Fans will get to watch The Gifted Season 2 premiere episode on September 25th.

At the moment, we know that Season 2 will explore the Mutant Underground and the Hellfire Club’s Inner Circle and how the two factions will engage in their fight for Mutant rights. Though there are no other details currently available, a recent casting call did provide some information on what fans can expect to see.

The casting call comes from Backstage which reveals a search for extras to play as Sick Mutants. The requirement is for both males and females between the age of 18 to 80 and people of all ethnicity were eligible for the role.

Looking for people with a thin build, paler skin tones, must be comfortable with proesthetics and SPFX makeup (no skin allergies or sensitivities whatsoever), men must be clean shaven or willing to shave their face, must be comfortable around pet rats and around steam,” reads the description.

The description does hint that the Sick Mutants could be living underground as it requires the extras to be “comfortable around pet rats”. The rest is up to fans to speculate though it might be too early.

Fans must note that the casting call has now expired and the production was on June 29, in Atlanta, GA.

It also looks like Director Bryan Singer might still get to keep his executive producer credit for The Gifted Season 2. The website with the casting call details still mentions Singer’s name with the EP credit.

In any case, that could change when the premiere date nears in as the studio did state to Deadline that their decision to boot Singer’s credit is “under review”.

In more news about The Gifted, Fans will get to see both factions in the spotlight with interactive artworks during Fox’s presentation of The Gifted Season 2 at San Diego Comi-Con. Just recently, IGN exclusively shared images of Polaris and other characters as individual posters.
