Dhanush’s assassin role in Russo Brothers’ helmed The Gray Man has earned delightful responses from critics, post the advance screening in LA. The main cast with director Joe Russo and Anthony Russo were present for a Q&A with the press, during which co-star Ana de Armas also spoke about filming fight sequences with the Indian Kollywood star.

With the social media embargo up, the non-spoiler verdict is in for Netflix’s ambitious spy thriller flick, The Gray Man and critics so far have praised Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling for their paired-up fight scenes. But surprisingly, the spotlight is on Dhanush’s appearance, though brief he seems to have left a lasting impression. In addition, the Asuran actor’s wholesome responses to journalists during the Q&A have garnered much love from fellow Kollywood actors and fans. Stills of Dhanush seated beside Julia Butters are already all over social media and the star’s fans were also thrilled to see him with a new hair-do. Readers can check it out below.

The Russo Brothers will soon visit Mumbai, India to promote The Gray Man with Dhanush. So more details regarding his role will roll out, in fact, the directors have already confirmed a spin-off is in the works, similar to Evans’ Lloyd project. The Russos have planned out this Netflix property produced under their production belt AGBO as a new franchise with plans for sequels and spinoffs.

The Gray Man is based on characters from Mark Greaney’s novel with Chris Evans playing Lloyd and Ryan Gosling as the CIA-trained former go-to hitman Court Gentry/Sierra Six. Evans’ Hansen was described as the opposite of his Captain America role and was compared to the likes of Joker. Details are scarce regarding Dhanush’s character except that the star revealed his role didn’t have him exchanging a lot of dialogues with co-stars. Nonetheless, the fist-fight scene was spoken highly by critics and de Armas.

The Gray Man arrives on July 15 in select theatres and will later be available to stream on Netflix from July 22. The movie also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Rege-Jean Page, Jessica Henwick, Julia ButtersAlfre Woodard and Wagner Moura.
