The Gray Man: Russo Brothers share Chris Evans’ Lloyd vs. Ryan Gosling’s Sierra Six fight scene, praise Dhanush & more

The Gray Man movie will be pitting Ryan Gosling’s Six and Chris Evans’ Lloyd against each other, literally, as revealed in a new clip from the spy thriller flick during Netflix Geeked Week Day 2. The Russo Brothers were in attendance for a Q&A to discuss their new franchise based on Mark Greaney’s novel and addressed what makes this brand new IP interesting.

The infamous Sierra six is on the hunt in The Gray Man and Lloyd is the unstoppable force that meets Gosling’s immovable object. The action scene shows Court Gentry on a one-man army mission killing multiple agents before getting pinned by Llyod. But the only thing stopping the gleeful psychopath has something to do with a drive. The clip ends with Ana De Armas’s Dani Miranda tranquilizing Hansen. Readers can check out the video below.

Evans plays an antagonist role, a character that was compared to the likes of DC’s Joker. And Gosling’s Gentry is a cold-blooded manhunter. And the two characters share a history of working for the government but clearly no longer share the same values.

Anthony Russo also spoke highly of the rest of the cast and what they bring to the board, especially Dhanush’s assassin character. Joe Russo also says “he’s fantastic” while the Geeked Week host praised the Indian Kollywood star’s breakthrough role in Hollywood. Speaking of, Dhanush is also expected to get a spinoff, making him the next after the duo confirms Chris Evans’ Lloyd spinoff.

The Gray Man reunited the directors with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the writers of Avengers: Infinity Saga and also the screenwriters for the Netflix spy IP. The two writers are also partners of the Russo Brothers’ studio venture AGBO.

The Gray Man also stars Jessica Henwick, Regé-Jean Page, Billy Bob Thorton and Alfre Woodard. The Gray Man will stream on Netflix from July 22 but will arrive on the big screen on July 15 for a one-week window.
