The Incredibles 2 latest promo featurette focuses on the brilliant superhero costume designer, Edna Mode. The new featurette shows popular models, stylists, and designers praising Mode’s work including Heidi Klum and Kendall Jenner.
“She’s a visionary, a giant. I mean, well, not literally… she comes up to my knees,” Kendall says in the video. “I would say Edna Mode is like the modern-day Andy Warhol, but I think Andy Warhol looked up to her.”
Designer Zac Posen, Rachel Zoe, stylist Kate Young, former Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley and Marie Claire’s Creative Director Nina Garcia can also be seen applauding Edna Mode’s skill as a designer.
The Incredibles 2 new footage shows Helen / Elastigirl in her new superhero costume designed by a guy named Alexander Galbaki. The news is not very well received by Edna who considers herself as the Parr family and Frozone’s exclusive designer.
So, in order to cheer her up, Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible promises Edna exclusive rights to being the official costume designer for Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone throughout the known universe and until the end of time. You can check out the footage below.
The Incredibles 2 first trailer released in February was massively well received among longtime fans. The sequel will revolve around the super-powered Parr family including dad Bob, mom Helen, and kids Violet, Dash and baby Jack-Jack. The film’s story picks up immediately after the original 2004 film. In the upcoming film, fans will see Helen take up her superhero job to save the world, while her husband Bob will stay at home looking after the kids after losing his job as an insurance agent. The movie will also focus on the youngest member of the Parr family- Jack-Jack developing his superpowers.
Written and directed by Brad Bird, The Incredibles 2 stars Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Huck Milner, Jonathan Banks, and Samuel L. Jackson. The film will debut in theatres on June 15.
