The Nun: More Hi-Res Stills Of Sister Irene & Father Burke Investigating At Cloistered Abbey

The hype for this year’s darkest chapter from The Conjuring Universe, The Nun movie continues to grow among fans as it nears its release date. Warner Bros. has released more stills from the movie featuring the main cast and the film’s main antagonist Valak.

The images show American Horror Story’s Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene with Father Burke (Demian Bichir) investigating the grounds of the cloistered Abbey. Fans can check it out below.

Though the stills aren’t exactly new since they were shown in the first trailer, they still offer a hi-res look at the scenes and clearly seems like the movie would be a visually thrilling experience for viewers.

The Nun movie explores another dark corner of The Conjuring Universe, A story set in the 50s and which takes place before The Conjuring and Annabelle. Both of the horror flicks teased the demonic nun known as Valak and fans will hear the story of the malevolent force in the upcoming prequel movie.

Fans might get to see a brand new trailer or a promo or a new still from The Nun at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 during Warner Bros. Hall H presentation. It is not yet confirmed if the movie will be part of the studios’ panel but the possibility still remains.

Gary Dauberman, recently known for working on the It movie has written the screenplay for The Nun. He was also the writer for Annabelle: Creation directed by David F. Sandberg and will be working on several horror based projects for Warner Bros. such as It: Chapter Two and DC’s Swamp Thing.

Though James Wan didn’t direct The Nun, he co-wrote the story with Dauberman. the fright-fest prequel movie is produced by Wan and by Peter Safran, who has produced all the films in “The Conjuring” franchise.

Directed by Corin Hardy, The Nun will premiere on September 7th.
