The Nun movie is currently one of the most anticipated horror movies of the year. After the demonic Nun known as Valak made its antagonist appearance in The Conjuring 2 and was yet again teased in the post-credit scene of Annabelle: Creation, fans have been waiting to get their first official look at Valak in the upcoming Conjuring 2 spinoff, The Nun movie.
Finally, Warner Bros. has released the first look at Valak from The Nun movie. Fans can take a look at it below.
Produced by James Wan and Peter Safran, The Nun is directed by Corin Hardy. For those unaware, the director is known for 2015’s horror movie The Hallow.
Reprising her role from Conjuring 2, Bonnie Aarons plays the demon Nun known as Valak. Oscar-nominated Demian Bichir plays as Father Burke, Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene, Jonas Bloquet as local villager Frenchie, Charlotte Hope as the abbey’s Sister Victoria and Ingrid Bisu as Sister Oana.
Earlier this February, it was revealed by Deadline that The Nun movie’s release was delayed. Pursue News has also got a confirmation on the new release date from the studio.
The news of the spinoff movie getting a new release date may have disappointed some fans and also caused some concern since the announcement came so close to its original release of July 13th. But the new release date set for September 7th will give the horror movie the spotlight it deserves and a chance to make the big buck at the box office.
