The Walking Dead Season 9 Features Time Jump And Massive Changes, Details

With the beginning of The Walking Dead Season 9, fans can expect to see a lot of changes in the storyline. Taking over Scott M. Gimple’s role, showrunner Angela Kang promised a long-anticipated time jump with the start of a new chapter.

With the conclusion to the All-Out-War storyline and Negan locked up in the prison, and survivors regrouping and forming their own community, a new chapter in the show is definitely inevitable. However, will this new world be Rick Grimes’ vision for a new utopia?

Rick’s decision to spare Negan has angered the rest of the group and Maggie is determined to get back on Rick for it. Meanwhile, Abraham Lincoln, who plays the role of Rick Grimes, has announced his departure and revealed that he will not be returning for The Walking Dead Season 9. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

In the meantime, Kang has shed out a few details on the upcoming season and what it will look like. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Kang called the new season a “new chapter of the show.”

The show is currently under production and the first new image from the sets of “The Walking Dead” Season 9. Looking at the image, the makeover to the show is quite evident. It looks like the survivors are back to basics after the zombie apocalypse. Also, fans can expect to see the group get a new leader. The photos show Michonne leading the group on horseback.

“We’ll explore what happened as manmade objects and structures break down,” says Kang. “Infrastructure like roads and bridges are changing and crumbling. And we’ll also explore what happens as resources are getting low.”

Fans will reportedly experience “fun Western vibe” in The Walking Dead Season 9.

We are going into a period where a lot of the things that we’ve seen in previous seasons have broken down, so they’ve got these horses and carriages that are being drawn around instead of cars. Things are lit with oil lamps. People are using different kinds of weaponry. There’s a real grittiness to it that I think will be fun and fresh for the viewers,” Kang explained.

As promised by Kang, the group will continue to be together. Fans will get to witness unity between them in a “lot of ways.” However, the change in dynamics among the members of the group is expected. The EP reveals that one will changes in the way the group “deals with each other.”

“In some ways, you’ll see that the vision has succeeded beyond anybody’s wildest imagination. But you’ll also see the cracks in that,” Kang said.

The Walking Dead Season 9 is expected to premiere this fall on AMC. Be sure to keep visiting Pursue News for related updates and information.
