This Doctor Doom rumor may disappoint Fantastic Four fans, internet react to Mila Kunis addressing MCU’s casting for Marvel’s first family feature, The Thing character possibly gender-swapped

It looks like the Fantastic Four casting announcement may be on the horizon though it’s unclear if it would also involve Doctor Doom and if so, to what capacity. After hearing what Mila Kunis had to say about her Sue Storm/gender-swapped The Thing rumor, MCU fans are expecting Marvel Studios to reveal the ensemble in the near future. But an insider report claims Doctor Doom’s role may not be substantial in Marvel’s first family feature directed by Matt Shakman or worse would not even have an appearance.

Rampant Fantastic Four rumors are all over social media lately for 2025’s Fantastic 4 reboot. While the ensemble movie is years from hitting the big screen – MCU fans are currently invested in learning about the actors in discussion to play Mr. Fantastic, which could be potrayed by Adam Driver, The Thing, Sue Storm and Johnny Storm/Human Torch.

With the casting process underway, fans have also been keen to learn about Von Doom’s involvement in the Phase 6 film. However, insider MyTimeToShineHello claims “No Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four at least not in a big role.” If true, Matt Shakman could be introducing a different nemesis, possibly Silver Surfer and Galactus – going by the claims from scoopers. Speaking of, The same insider also backed a rumor that Antonio Banderas is in discussions to play MCU’s Galactus

Earlier this week, it was reported the Desperado actor Antonio Banderas was in talks for the Galactus role in Marvel’s first family movie. Any Marvel fan would know Galactus’ story usually involves his servant, Silver Surfer who seeks out planets for the celestial to eat. It’s possible Shakman could introduce the Herald of Galactus, in fact, there have also been rumors supporting this claim – with some reports also suggesting the character could get a Marvel Studios special treatment.

Meanwhile, the Mila Kunis rumor has been put to rest by the actress herself during her appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. However, That 70s Show star did reveal “But I know who is. But I don’t wanna get in trouble with the Mouse!”

Scooper MTTS even suggested Shakman was searching for a Jewish-origin actress to play The Thing. Marvel fans have been in awe over the possibility of a gender-swapped character. Readers can check out reactions below.

Similar Doctor Doom claims have been made earlier stating Victor Von Doom is not the main villain in the ensemble Phase 6 movie though it was also reported the character had a post-credits scene in Black Panther 2 which did not pan out. So audiences are advised to take these rumors with a grain of salt and from the looks of it, Marvel Studios may soon set the record straight with an official announcement.

Fantastic Four is scheduled for a February 14, 2025 release.
