Thor: Love and Thunder definitely seem to have a new ruler for Asgardians and the new look for Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie all but assures her place on the throne as Queen of Asgard. A set image revealed the character’s new suit-up and Marvel fans are already buzzing over her potential set-up to the spotlight in Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4.
Fans would well remember Thompson’s debut in Thor: Ragnarok and her fan-favorite portrayal as Valkyrie offered her a bigger arc in the MCU, later earning her leadership over Asgardians on Earth as Thor began a galactic adventure with Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Endgame. The upcoming Thor 4 has a lot to offer with introducing Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) as the God of Thunder after she becomes worthy to wield Mjolnir while a villain named Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) arrives as a new threat. That’s a lot of new to address for director Taika Waititi.
Fortunately, the positive buzz surrounding Thor: Love and Thunder have fans hopeful and responses towards Valkyrie’s new look cannot be a better indication. Many are already praising her as “King Valkyrie” due to her outfit resembling Thor’s iconic god-tier costume. Rest are anticipating the debut trailer for Love and Thunder with barely more than a month away from its theatrical release. Readers can find the tweets below.
