Marvel Studios offering the new LEGO merch for Thor: Love and Thunder has only riled up MCU fans seeking out the fourth installment’s first trailer featuring Chris Hemsworth’s titular God of Thunder. Though items from Hasbro’s figurine have offered some new reveals such as confirming Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) is the new King of Asgard as well as featuring Mighty Jane’s (Natalie Portman) new attire wielding Mjolnir.
The first franchise in Marvel Cinematic Universe to explore beyond a trilogy has fans excited not just for Thor but also his nemesis, Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher. Luckily, the God of Thunder has his own ensemble to depend on with Korg, Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) and more aiding him. Now, the new LEGO set based on the upcoming film has revealed the mighty Viking ship Thor and others sail on in their journey. Surprisingly, the designated name for the ship is “The Goat Boat”

It seems Marvel Studios is finally introducing Thor’s two goats from Norse mythology – known for pulling his chariot. While the Poetic Edda refers to the mystical beings as Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr – In Marvel comics, they’re called Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder. It remains to be seen if Taika Waititi has made any change for MCU’s adaptation.
Meanwhile, Hemsworth’s Thor action figurine has offered first look at his blue-themed suit. But all eyes remain on Mighty Jane and Gorr’s encounter as shown on the LEGO set. Added, some believe the God Butcher’s all-black sword could be the famous Necrosword. All in all, fans’ dissent on social media show most campaigning for the first trailer’s release with the movie just 5 months away from hitting theatres.
Thor 4 is also expected to show Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and the rest of Guardians of the Galaxy. But director James Gunn confirmed the upcoming Vol. 3 is set after the events of Love and Thunder.
Thor: Love and Thunder releases on July 8, 2022.
