Marvel Studios seems to acknowledge some of the CGI shots in Thor: Love and Thunder were lacking in quality, especially the CGI work on Axl Heimdallson’s telepathic scene. The sequence in question has been patched up to feature a more refined version of Axl but MCU fans are displeased with the reworked version as well.
Thor: Love and Thunder has finally landed on the Disney Plus streaming service for Disney Plus Day. The Chris Hemsworth starrer flick is already trending on Twitter with fans discussing their favorite moments, like Odinson’s flick scene in the Omnipotence City. However, not all discussion is filled with flattery as one Marvel aficionado noticed the difference in VFX when Heimdallson established a telepathic link with Thor. From the looks of it, the character seems to be fully computer generated, unlike the previous edition.
It’s unclear if Marvel Studios made the edit based on criticism but such changes have made it the streaming service in the past. Earlier, the studio came under fans’ scanner after a censored version of an episode from Falcon and the Winter Soldier was released on the mouse house’s streaming service. However, Disney reverted it to the original after fans’ query stating the changes were not deliberate but rather a glitch. Readers can check out reactions for Thor 4’s CGI patch-up below.

Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder centers over another one of Thor’s adventures but this time, the God of Thunder is on a path of self-discovery. Unfortunately, that gets sidetracked by Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), on a mission to annihilate the gods. Odinson luckily has his very own motley crew to depend on, namely King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster who also wields his ex-hammer, Mjolnir and his companion from Thor: Ragnarok, Korg. They travel to Olympus for Zeus’ (Rusell Crowe) help to stop Gorr but face more challenges in their cosmic journey.
Thor 4 is one of the new titles released for Disney Plus Day along with Robert Zemeckis’ Pinocchio featuring Tom Hanks. Thor: Love and Thunder is available to watch in IMAX Enhanced version and theatrical in the US.
