Thor: Love and Thunder production set photos reveal Nebula, Kraglin & more

Marvel Studios’ next ambitious blockbuster with an “Avengers 5 feel”, Thor: Love and Thunder has finally entered into production and is actively filming in Syndey.  The news came along with a slew of set photos of the main cast donning their new upgraded versions of the costume. As expected, the internet is fired up from catching a glimpse of their first looks.

Photos from the production set of Thor: Love and Thunder began to surface on the internet early Monday morning. Marvel fans were quick to catch hold of their first look at Thor in a new attire – inspired from the Marvel comics character Thunderstrike. Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, also donning a new suit was spotted along with Hemsworth on set.

Now, new set photos have also revealed Kraglin (Sean Gunn) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) on the movie set. Though we already knew of Nebula’s prominent involvement in this film, its exciting to spot Gunn as Kraglin – whose on-screen appearance received lesser spotlight compared to his work on the on-set Rocket Raccoon’s motion reference. It even dismisses the previous speculation suggesting the same.

MCU fans are assured that director Taika Waititi will throw in his usual blockbuster spell and shape up the film to live up to the previous ensemble’s expectation. So far, Waititi has offered few teases on what fans can look forward to, such as taking inspiration from one major source –  Jason Aaron’s The Mighty Thor in which Jane Foster takes on the mantle as the Goddess of Thunder. Natalie Portman is reprising the character and will also be donning the new transformed role.

“That comics run was a big inspiration, and was an influence on the first few drafts,” Waititi told Variety. “But at Marvel, we always change everything. I could say one thing right now, and in two years, it will be the complete opposite — or that thing won’t exist. We continue writing even in post-production.”

Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters on February 11, 2022. In the meantime, you can revisit the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and others that are available for streaming on Disney+
