Marvel Studios is amping up promotions for Thor: Love and Thunder with new vibrant character posters, twitter emojis and TV spots in an effort to push advance ticket bookings for the Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman-led fourth installment. The new promo materials have offered crumbs of what’s in store when Thor 4 arrives this July, particularly Christain Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher, with even Taika Waititi touting him as the best MCU villain by far.

Thor: Love and Thunder began trending on social media as Marvel fans began to notice the new Twitter emoji and character posters for God of Thunder, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Mighty Thor, Gorr, Korg, Zeus and last but not the least, Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder, Thor’s mystical goats doing the heavy lifting. Speaking of goats, the poster image for the two god-powered flying animals has taken off on social media with many using it as a label (GOAT: Greatest of all time) to appreciate legacy Marvel stars like Toby Maguire & Andrew Garfield, etc. But surprisingly, Thompson also jumped in on the trend tagging Portman and herself as the two goats in her Instagram stories.

With Love and Thunder barely a month away, brief new promos have been released, some featuring the main cast and director’s commentary to promote the fourth film’s romantic dramedy fantasy adventure for TV audiences. The new TV spot screams Jack Kirby’s comics-inspired visuals and 80s vibe, particularly during the Thor vs. Gorr scene. Odison begins pulsating neon energy when Stormbreaker strikes Gorr’s sword. Readers can check it out below.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be introducing a larger part of MCU’s cosmic universe by adding Greek gods like Crowe’s Zeus to the twist. An earlier released image also teased references to other existing mythology such as Black Panther’s Bast.

Thor: Love and Thunder hits theatres on July 8. The movie arrives a day earlier in India.
