‘Thor: Ragnarok’: Chris Hemsworth Says Goodbye To Mjolnir In Memoriam Clip

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a very tight situation in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok. Thor has to face the villainous Hela (Cate Blanchett), the Goddess of Death who wants to take over Asgard. Further, she destroys Mjolnir, his iconic hammer.

Thor: Ragnarok delves deeper into the heroism of Thor, who now does not possess his iconic hammer. He now has to act on his own, unite with his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), his co-Avenger the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) in order to stop Hela.

Taika Watiti dared to take a different route and narrate a compelling story of Thor, The God of Thunder. He managed to take Thor to newer heights by stripping him off his Mjolnir, his hair, and even his pride.

Chris Hemsworth today shared a video that pays tribute to his Mjolnir. The video uses bits of footage from the previous films in which he uses the great hammer, only to be destroyed by the Queen of Death. Along with the video that you can watch below, he tweeted, “RIP Mjolnir (Hammer)!”

Thor: Ragnarok has opened to rave reviews and is running successfully all across the globe. The film’s huge global success has to do not just with the execution, but also to an exceptionally written script by Eric Pearson as well.

Thanks to Ragnarok’s collections, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has already grossed $17 billion globally. After completing the first weekend in North America, Box Office Mojo reported the MCU at $5,005,500,714 domestically. Thor: Ragnarok is the 17th venture of MCU since 2008 when it first began as a small self-producing firm.

Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo, and Anthony Hopkins.
