The film opened to $79.9M in the same suite of markets in 2013 and at today’s exchange rates. Doctor Strange is another Marvel film that opened to $88.1M last year around the same time by using today’s exchange and similar launch markets.
Thor: Ragnarok is being looked forward to with great anticipation with the first teaser trailer drawing 136M views worldwide within 24 hours of its release in April last year.

The reviews of Thor: Ragnarok is brilliant with Rotten Tomatoes giving 98%. The Guardian has given three stars while The Telegraph has opted for four and termed it as an “exhilaratingly fresh nostalgia trip.” According to Radio Times, Thor 3 is “a fabulous fantasy and the funniest Marvel movie yet.”
Thor 3 will release on October 25 in France, Italy, Korea, Belgium, Poland, Switzerland, Indonesia, Philippines, and Taiwan. Australia, Brazil, Denmark, Netherlands, Portugal, and Hong Kong will see the film hit their theaters on October 26. The Crown Prince of Asgard will hit Spain, Iceland, Norway, South Africa, and Sweden on Friday, October 27. The film will make it to the theaters on November 2nd and 3rd in the rest of the world.
