If you think Titans might be done adding any more characters to its main cast, you are wrong! The latest Titans breakdown reveals four new characters that will be part of the upcoming live-action DC TV series.
By now, Titans has got together most of its main cast, that includes Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Teagan Croft as Raven, Anna Diop as Starfire, Minka Kelly as Dove, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, and Alan Ritchson as Hawk. Now, THS has got details of four more characters that will be added to the Titans. Check out the names and character descriptions below:
[DANIEL CROSS] Male, 17-19, Caucasian. Athletic, street smart, cocky, yet charming. His life is changed forever when he crosses a crime fighter and is given a new outlet for his rebellious ways. RECURRING GUEST STAR.
[JENNIFER ANDREWS] Female, 20s/30s, Caucasian. Small town, Midwestern girl gone to Hollywood, Jennifer is a star on the rise. She comes across a doe-eyed, All-American and naive in her approach to her art, and life. Jennifer emulates the classic girl-next-door actors from the 1940’s and 50’s. A bit Stepford-y in her thinking and appearance, Jennifer feels like a woman out of time. RECURRING GUEST STAR.
[CAROLINE] Female, 40s, Caucasian. Forever sleepless with worry, she’s the mother to a young, troubled teen. Seeking a recognizable cameo face or name. GUEST STAR.
[THE MESSENGER] Male, 50s-60s, Open ethnicity. Outwardly a warm and kind presence, he doesn’t seem the type to be powerful or malicious. But he has the ability to turn on a dime and be the most terrifying man you have ever met. Seeking offer only names/recognizable faces…RECURRING GUEST STAR.
The description for “Daniel Cross” suggests it could be for Roy Harper or Danny Chase, aka Phantasm. It is difficult to not think of Roy Harper while talking about Titans.
Rita Farr, aka Elasti-Girl fits the bill completely for Jennifer Andrews. Rita was an actress who became powerful while shooting in Africa. She became Elasti-Girl, who could change the size and shape of her body to unimaginable extremes. Farr, who was known for her time in Doom Patrol, also became the adoptive mother of one of the Titans in the Beast Boy comics.
As for Caroline, it could be Angela Roth, aka Arella, Raven’s mother. Arella conceived Raven with the powerful demon Trigon. However, she did not bring her up from birth. Considering Raven and her importance in the show, it is quite possible that Arella is Caroline.
Further, THS speculates that The Messenger could refer to Sebastian Blood/Brother Blood, one more recurring character from Arrow-verse. Brother Blood is intricately tied to the Titans. Moreover, his connection to the Titans and to Raven’s father Trigon, and the being of worship for the Church of Blood cult, make him a good choice.
Titans will premiere on DC’s digital service in the year 2018.
