Tom Holland, who portrayed the character of Spider-man in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming, says he is looking forward to seeing his character meet Letitia Wright’s Shuri soon.
Holland would soon be seen playing Spider-man in Avengers: Infinity War. He’s also set to return in Avengers 4 and the untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, when Tom Holland was asked about what Peter Parker’s thoughts would be about Wakanda, he replied saying Peter would enjoy being in Wakanda.
“I think Peter would love it,” the actor said. “There’s some great moments in the comics where Peter ends up there. And Letitia and I have become really good friends over the last year and a bit. It would be brilliant to have our characters meet up, it would be so funny. She’s brilliant in the movie, she’s actually my favourite part of Black Panther.”
It is likely that Peter and Shuri will meet up soon as Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige has already confirmed that Wakanda will play an important role in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and beyond as an anchor point for Phase 4 of the MCU.
In the same interview, when Robert Downey Jr. was asked his views on Wakanda, he said Iron Man’s Tony Stark would see Wakanda as an inspiration.
“Well, a technologically advanced country is probably something that he wishes would benefit humanity without creating more infighting,” Downey said. “I think that’s what he would hope for America. That’s what he would hope for the world. I think to him, he would view it as a potentially utopian model.”
Fans will get to see their favorite Black Panther stars in the soon to be released Avengers: Infinity War movie. The film will feature T’Challa aka Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Wakanda’s Queen Mother Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and Bucky (Sebastian Stan).
Avengers: Infinity War will hit the screens on April 27, 2018.
