War For The Planet Of The Apes Trailer: Caesar Is Betrayed By His Own Kind

Movie buff fans have been treated with jaw-dropping trailers throughout this month. Before we go on to expect more in April, War for the Planet of the Apes official trailer has been released by 20th Century Fox.

“I did not start this war”, says Caesar with a chilling bold voice. Unlike the previous titles, the upcoming movie is expected to be dark and gritty by visuals and plot wise.

The trailer gives a glimpse at the ongoing war of Apes vs. Humans. However, there also seems to be a betrayal by a Gorilla, leading to the capture of Caesar and heavy casualty to the Apes.

Humans continue to fight both the disease and the Apes to take control over Earth. Although the Apes seek peace, Woody Harrelson’s Colonel is after war to put an end to their species.

The footage ends hinting a final showdown between Caesar and the colonel leading the battle for the human side. Who wins? We’ll have to wait till its release to find the answer.

Directed by Matt Reeves, War for the Planet of the Apes is the third installment of its franchise. The story is set after two years from the “Dawn” events.

Amiah Miller plays as Nova, a young mute girl who also manages to bond with the Apes. The movie hits theaters on July 14th, 2017.

After the release of War for the Planet of the Apes, Reeves will be all set to direct The Batman for Warner Bros. Recently, the studio also went through a complete rewrite of the script. Currently,  fans are unsure about the movie’s previous announced release date for 2018. It is likely that will be delayed.
