Wednesday fans react to sexual assault allegations against Xavier actor Percy Hynes White, Addams stans want star to be replaced for season 2

It looks like Wednesday season 2 may have to find a new actor to play Xavier Thorpe following sexual assault allegations against Percy Hynes White from various social media users. It began with @milkievich on Twitter accusing the Netflix teen drama star of sexual abuse in a tweet thread that has gone viral.

Since the premiere of the Jenna Ortega starrer Wednesday series – its profound success has been up to par with Stranger Things, in fact, several of its main cast members like the lead actor Ortega, who also bagged a Golden Globes nom and the fan-favorite Emma Myer‘s Enid have seen a sharp rise in their fanbase due to the show’s popularity and similarly, Percy Hynes White has also been in the spotlight but the recent turn of events has raised concerns among fans if the actor should be involved in season 2.

It should be noted that no formal complaint has been filed yet and the sex crime allegations against White, while the statements come from several women – their claims are unverified as of this writing. The Twitter thread goes into detail, alleging Hynes White of assaulting her and “multiple” friends when the actor was in the age of 17 and 20 living in Toronto, as Mary Sue also reports.

White has not responded to the allegations yet but the Wednesday star has limited commenting access on his official Instagram account. Meanwhile, neither of the cast members has reacted to these assertions including Ortega. However, it isn’t stopping Addams fans from asking for the removal of Percy Hynes White from the Tim Burton series. Readers can check it out in the reactions below.

White’s character Xavier Thorpe is introduced as a Nevermore student and eventually gets tied into Addams’ arc. Similar to other gifted students, Thorpe can manipulate art into reality but he’s mainly shown fighting against Tyler (Hunter Doohan) due to his love for Wednesday.

The cameras are yet to roll for the production of Wednesday season 2 and it shouldn’t come as a surprise since Netflix only confirmed the renewal in early January.
