The final trailer for The Flash movie has given away another DCEU character’s cameo, Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons). With tickets going on sale, Warner Bros. has released exciting new sequences from the multiverse-themed flick in the last promotional video offering a hi-res look at Sasha Calle‘s Man of Steel-inspired Supergirl suit, Ben Affleck‘s Batman in action like never before and teasing glimpses at the young Barry donning a Burtonverse’s Bat-Esque speedster attire.
While the critics’ verdict for The Flash movie was out after its CinemaCon premiere, the recent fan screenings in the US have offered DCU stans insight on the movie. And as expected, reactions are mostly filled with praises for not just Ezra Miller‘s moving speedster performance but for Sasha Calle as Supergirl with many campaigning for her character’s return in James Gunn’s DCU.
Even fans’ social media reactions criticizing the movie are not short of acclaim for Sasha Calle. Audiences who haven’t seen the film but caught a look at the last trailer appear to be looking forward to Supergirl fighting General Zod (Michael Shannon) and Faora-UI (Antje Traue). But followers of the old DCEU are looking forward to Alfred Pennyworth’s appearance, the last time Jeremy Irons might play as Bruce Wayne’s butler as the movie is expected to hit a reset on the interconnected universe.
Speaking of whom, the Man of Steel actress shared a few behind-the-scenes stills of her transformation for the Kryptonian role. The final trailer ends with a brief shot of Batfleck’s Bruce Wayne driving away in an expensive luxury car and Iris West notices Barry talking to him and says, “You have fancy friends”. Anyone who says The Flash is just a glorified Batman movie is wrong and completely in denial at this point.
It uses nostalgia correctly and doesn’t rely on fan service and memberberries. This is 100% Barry Allen’s story, with Batman and Supergirl as icing on the cake.

Thread: So… I kinda loved #TheFlash? It has a banger opening scene, is hilarious when it needs to be, & serious & heartfelt when it’s called for. Keaton gets to do stuff as Batman that VFX just wouldn’t let him do before, and he’s just awesome. Supergirl kicks so much ass too. pic.twitter.com/gxlILWyQQE

#TheFlash is not just PHENOMENAL it’s a full on celebration of DC . An emotional action packed ride FULLY FOCUSED on Barry Allen! Supergirl & Keaton’s Batman complement the film w/ applauded worthy moments but this is a FLASH story. The good towers way over the bad. I LOVED IT. pic.twitter.com/4YIPKhub08

I see why #TheFlash had to released.
Andy Muschietti directed such an electric film that delivers on action and stakes with purpose. This is Barry Allen’s story with an amazing supporting cast from Keaton’s Batman to Sashe Calle’s Supergirl. I’m floored man…3rd act is BONKERS pic.twitter.com/pODUwnIvd8

The Flash is all about Barry Allen, but it would be nothing without amazing performances from Sasha Calle as Supergirl and Michael Keaton as Batman. It’s not just Flashpoint being adapted, Muschietti did a smashing job here. #TheFlash pic.twitter.com/JE0MAJVDzA

#TheFlash is DC’s NO WAY HOME, a GIGANTIC audience pleaser led by Ezra Miller’s near immaculate dual performance, all the nostalgia you could want & more, after seeing this it’s hard to imagine a DCU without Ezra, a summer blockbuster bullseye, gonna be HUGE ⚡️⚡️⚡️ pic.twitter.com/JIzo9ezlT2

Just saw #TheFlash. Holy multiverse, this film was amazing. Best DC movie I’ve seen in so long. This is the hit @wbd has been waiting for. Miller was excellent in this very Flash centered film. I loved it. I’ll be seeing it again and again.
Also.. @SashaCalle is #Supergirl! pic.twitter.com/xM0Z0QjioV

My #TheFlash review: one of the worst endings I've seen. The movie has some nice performances (Sasha Calle's Supergirl rules!) and some fun action but it's all watered down by a nostalgia-bait finale ordered by James Gunn to set up his reboot, making it all feel redundant 😪🤷♂️ https://t.co/rxzkCguBzq

Saw #TheFlash tonight! Great nostalgic moment with the OG Batman @MichaelKeaton! He was my fave. Decent story for the flash and supergirl. pic.twitter.com/54ket84wia

From what I'm being told by sources, #TheFlash movie that people are reacting to is a CUT of the film.
There are a number of minutes missing from it. Apparently, no one is seeing the FULL movie until the week of its release.
Factor that into your response to their reactions. 👊🏽 pic.twitter.com/KEi87MNQsz

It's also why I'm not going to any of the screenings UNTIL it's the full movie.
And from what I'm being told, it's not just a cameo scene or end credits scene that is missing. It's apparently a little more than that so I'm real curious to see what my sources are talking about.

The fan test screenings are reportedly not featuring the final cut of the full movie (via: Hot Mic’s John Rocha) which explains the missing end-credits scene. Moreover, the VFX shots are also expected to be polished for its theatrical release. Nonetheless, the main plot remains unchanged and it appears to be the heart of The Flash film.
Meanwhile, new posters are out encouraging fans to experience The Flash movie in Dolby Cinema and IMAX. Fandango has also shared a brand new look at Burtonverse’s Batmobile, the shot was included in the final trailer too when Barry pulls the sheets off the vehicle in the Batcave.
The Flash will begin its theater “run” on June 16.
