A new report reveals actor Kristoffer Polaha is a part of the highly awaited Wonder Woman sequel film, titled Wonder Woman 1984. Polaha has previously appeared in Castle, Mad Men, and Life Unexpected.
In Kristoffer Polaha’s recently published op-ed in The Hollywood Reporter titled “Why I Love Doing Hallmark Movies, an Actor’s Confession”, the actor’s filmography at the bottom mentions that he will next appear in Wonder Woman 1984.
Details about what role Polaha will be playing in the film remains unclear at the moment. He is the latest to join Natasha Rothwell and Ravi Patel who have been cast in undisclosed roles in Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman 1984.
Wonder Woman 1984 was previously set for release on November 1, 2019, but, now, the film’s release has now been pushed back to mid-2020. The film has been set in the 1980s and will take Gal Gadot’s Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman into the Cold War. She will be pit against Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). Filming on the sequel is currently going on in London.
Actor Chris Pine, whose character Steve Trevor was shown dead at the end of Wonder Woman, will be back in the sequel as Diana’s love interest.
During a recent interview, when Pine was asked how surprised he was to learn he would be appearing in Wonder Woman 1984, he revealed that he already knew about the story plan as director Patty Jenkins had informed him about his character’s resurrection during the production of the first film.
“Patty had told me this idea somewhere in the middle of the first one. And when Patty gets an idea, it’s a pretty powerful thing, because you can see the kernel land in the dirt and then all of a sudden it just starts growing and it becomes a tree… She can make you do anything,” Pine told BBC Radio 1.
Wonder Woman 1984 will arrive in theatres on June 5, 2020.
