Wonder Woman 2 Actress Gal Gadot Is Coming To SDCC 2018 With A Surprise

It seems the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2018 event will be a special one for Wonder Woman fans as a new report suggests Wonder Woman 2 actress Gal Gadot will be making a surprise appearance at the event which will be held at the San Diego Convention Center from July 19 to July 22.

According to Deadline, Gadot will not only appear in Hall H for Warner Bros’ big DC presentation, but she will also be bringing an exclusive look of Wonder Woman 2 with her. A special footage of the upcoming film will likely get showcased exclusively during Warner Bros.’ SDCC 2018 presentation.

We had earlier reported the possibility of fans getting a very early look at Wonder Woman 2 during WB’s Hall H presentation. Fans would remember that DC’s Justice League received the same treatment where director Zack Snyder showcased a special SDCC trailer and it was also released publicly. Aquaman’s trailer was also showcased in a similar manner but wasn’t released to the masses since it’s VFX scenes still needed to be improved for public release.

Since Wonder Woman 1984 just began filming and has barely a month before SDCC 2018, Director Patty Jenkins is likely to screen a short teaser just for the SDCC attendees. In any case, fans can expect to get some insight on the footage from trailer descriptions.

Wonder Woman 1984’s filming is currently underway in Washington D.C. The recent on-set pictures that surfaced online have confirmed the return of Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor in the film. Some of the other actors who are yet to start shooting for Wonder Woman 2 include Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal.

While Kristen Wiig will be seen portraying the main antagonist, Cheetah, also known as Barbara Ann Minerva from the comics, Pedro Pascal is rumored to play a god in disguise similar to David Thewlis’s character from the original Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman 2 follows Diana in 1984 during the Cold War as she faces off against the Soviet Union. Rumor has it that Diana might be seen flying in the film by “lassoing the wind” if the director decided to go with the development ideas.

Director Patty Jenkins has returned to helm the film. She has also co-written the script with The Expendables co-writer Dave Callaham.

Aquaman and  Shazam! are the other two DC films which are likely to make an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con 2018 event. In fact, director James Wan has already confirmed that he will be rolling out the official Aquaman trailer at the convention. We are also expecting a first official look at Shazam!.

Aquaman is currently slated to debut in theaters on December 21, 2018, followed by Shazam! on April 5, 2019, and Wonder Woman 1984 on November 1, 2019.
