As the highly anticipated Wonder Woman 2 is well into production now in Washington D.C., new rumors and information about the film’s characters shave started pouring in. The only characters confirmed to star in the Wonder Woman sequel are Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Chris Pine who was recently spotted filming scenes with the Amazonian Princess.
A Twitter user who goes by the name DanielRPK claims that Pedro Pascal might be playing a god in disguise in Wonder Woman 2.
“I hear Pedro Pascal’s character is a God in disguise,” tweeted DanielRPK.
While he didn’t elaborate much on Pascal’s character, he did debunk the rumors stating that Pascal could be impersonating SteveTrevor who sacrificed his life during World War I. When one of his followers came up with a theory that Pascal might be disguised as Steve in the film, Daniel RPK replied, “Nope. That’s the real Steve Trevor.”
There are also rumors of Pascal playing a slippery con man in Wonder Woman 1984. It would be pretty interesting to find out what his actual role is in the upcoming film. Notably, the first Wonder Woman film had already used the god in disguise plot in David Thewlis’ Sir Patrick who was revealed as Ares, the God of War. So, using the same plot might come as a slight disappointment for fans.
Gal Gadot recently revealed the first official look at Wonder Woman’s costume in the new movie. The actress tweeted a picture of herself in costume, along with the simple caption, “She’s back…”
Gadot’s costume in the picture looks pretty similar to the first costume. But unlike the previous version, the new armor is more colorful. It is speculated that the Amazonian Princess might also get another new costume in Wonder Woman 2.
