Wonder Woman 3: Jason Momoa’s Aquaman reportedly mentioned in early script, details

It looks like Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman might get to share screen time with Jason Momoa’s Aquaman in the upcoming Wonder Woman 3, if all goes well in the screenwriting process. A new report indicates that Patty Jenkins’ third installment based on the Themyscria warrior could showcase a possible confrontation between Amazonians and Atlantians but that could change as well.

WARNING: Article contains possible further spoilers to Wonder Woman 3 plot, readers are warned.

Wonder Woman 3 is in active development and it seems Jenkins is currently busy penning the script going by the slip-up in plot details. The new report comes from That Hashtag Show, a portal known for reporting credible Movie/TV production-related news. It states the information of Momoa appearing in Wonder Woman 3 “comes from a very early script draft.”

Aquaman helps Wonder Woman to stop Atlantis & Themyscria’s possible conflict?

According to plot details mentioned in the above report, Wonder Woman 3 will explore Dian Prince and Asteria working together to rescue an old ally named Arion. Arion is a legendary hero to both Atlantis and Themyscria and though serves as a bridge between two worlds, he ends up going insane. Diana’s journey to rescue Arion puts Aquaman in her path.

It must be noted that the script knowledge comes from an early draft. Movies in Hollywood are known for going through rewrites even during mid-production. Even if the above-mentioned details are true, possible early draft changes could result in the film taking a different direction, although critical plot details usually remain the same. Nonetheless, fans are argued to take this news with a grain of salt.

Out of all franchises established under the DC Extended Universe, Aquaman and Wonder Woman are by far the most successful under Warner Bros. with an assured future. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise if the filmmakers engage in a crossover of sorts to promote both characters.

Wonder Woman 3 does not have a release date assigned yet but Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will arrive in theatres on December 16, 2022.
