Wonder Woman: Connie Nielsen Had A Awkward First Moment With Gal Gadot

Actors usually have a lot of funny set stories to share during their press junket. Recently, Wonder Woman cast Connie Nielsen shared her first hilarious encounter with Gal Gadot on the set of the DC film.

During her recent interview with Flickering Myth to talk about her upcoming film The Confession, Nielsen also spoke about her role from Wonder Woman. Although the actress wasn’t in the position to share any sensitive information from her upcoming DC project, she had a funny story to reveal for the masses.

Nielsen was asked if she had “any funny set stories” from working with Gal Gadot. Fortunately, the actress did and it is awkward as it sounds. Here’s what she had to say.

“The first time I met Gal I was in the make up trailer inside a tanning tent getting spray tanned – a uniquely clammy experience – when, as I step out of the tent, naked but for a thong, Gal is whipping off her clothes to get into the tent – and that’s where we said hello the first time. Playing her mother added an extra twist to awkward.”

That indeed would have been an awkward situation and couldn’t have been easy for Nielsen and Gadot to laugh it off. Moreover, as stated by the 52-year-old actress, it would have been harder to wipe away that moment as she had to play as the main cast’s mother in the film.

Nielsen was also asked if she has any involvement as Hippolyta in Wonder Woman sequel. “Dunno. But I hope so,” said the actress.

Currently, fans are expecting an announcement regarding the sequel at SDCC 2017. It was recently rumored that Warner Bros. has plans to announce the sequel’s release date if all goes well at their end.
