The box office earning for Wonder Woman has already gone past Warner Bros. expectations and early independent tracking records. But the DC film looks to make more records in the superhero genre.
Recently, BuzzFeedNews shared a statistics of all the modern superhero movies. The data revealed details of film’s earning in domestic box office-comparing its first week of earning with the next to estimate its drop.
Wonder Woman currently holds the last spot (it’s a good sign) with the lowest first to second domestic weekend drop for a modern superhero movie. Fans can check out the stats below.
The female superhero movie has managed to make a better buck than Marvel’s Avengers and other MCU films on its second domestic weekend. While DCEU holds the last spot, it has also, unfortunately, bagged the first spot as well.
Currently, Batman v Superman is placed first for having the highest first to second domestic weekend drop with at box office. It looks like the DC Film’s early negative reviews which stated it be a mess wrecked its earning the next week.
The runner-up goes to Fox’s Fantastic Four released in 2015 which received the worse reviews from fans and critics all over the world. The film barely crossed its budget ($120M) with a total of $167M earning worldwide.
Another stats has also suggested that Wonder Woman could surpass all the previous DCEU titles although the film’s opening earning is considerably low compared to the past DC films. Fans can check it out below.

And although it opened considerably lower than its DCEU counterparts, #WonderWoman could end up surpassing some, or all, of them. pic.twitter.com/SIAKQhpKab
