World War Z 2 Filming In Late March, Working Title & Filming Locations Revealed [UPDATE]

World War Z 2 is one of the much-awaited sequels that moviegoers have direly been waiting for. There’s not much we know except that David Fincher will be helming the project and Brad Pitt and Mireille Enos are set to reprise their respective roles from the original movie.

UPDATE: Paramount has confirmed with PursueNews that the movie does not have a confirmed filming start date yet

The last update we received on World War Z 2 came right from producer Jeremy Kleiner and Dede Gardner. The two revealed that production will begin in June but kept the rest of the details under wrap. But it looks like the sequel is on fast track as according to a new listing from Production Weekly, filming will begin sometime late March this year.

Filming will go on till the next year and is expected to wrap sometime in January 2020.

World War Z 2 also has a working title which is ‘MAXIMILLIAN’.  The project is expected to film in Thailand and Spain. The team will also be filming in Pinewood Atlanta Studios.

World War Z has been making the news for a while thanks to its upcoming promising game title.  The 4 player co-op shooter has also managed to steal the limelight from Overkill’s The Walking Dead.

The original movie based on the Max Brooks novel of the same name came out in 2013 and since then has managed to peak the masses interest. The upcoming game has also slowly gained a large following thanks to its trailers.

The game title is expected to launch in PS4, Xbox One and PC this year. It could, in turn, play in the studio’s favor for World War Z 2 movie when it releases probably sometime in 2020.

World War Z 2 will be directed by David Fincher from a script penned by Dennis Kelly and Steven Knight.  More casting announcement can be expected this year.

The movie does not have a release date assigned yet.
