Young Actor Gives Shazam! Director A Handwritten Thank You Letter

The production work on the highly awaited DC Extended Universe superhero film Shazam! kicked off recently. The film is being directed by Annabelle: Creation fame director David F. Sandberg. Sandberg was taken by surprise when one of the film’s cast members wrote him a Thank you letter for being selected for the role.

The director shared a picture of the handwritten letter which was written by an anonymous cast member on a graph paper on his Instagram story. The post is captioned as “working with kids is nice.” Notably, Sandberg was careful enough to hide the name of the actor and his or her character from the handwritten note.

“Thank you for picking me for the role of [redacted],” the note reads.”Thanks again. Warm regards, [redacted].”

Shazam! stars Zachary Levi in the lead role of Shazam, Asher Angel playing young Billy Batson, and Mark Strong as the main antagonist Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.  Among others Jack Dylan Grazer is playing Freddy, Billy’s best friend, Grace Fulton will be seen as Mary, Billy’s sister, Faithe Herman will play Darla, Jovan Armand will be seen as Pedro, Ian Chen will play Eugene. Last but not the least, Cooper Andrews and Marta Milans will play Victor and Rosa Vasquez, the family’s foster parents.

Recently, Zachary Levi revealed about his weight gain journey in one of the episodes of the show “Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum.” The actor revealed that he has been working out for an hour and fifteen minutes every day for 5 to 6 days a week to get into the superhero shape. The strict workout schedule paid off in no time with Levi gaining extra twenty pounds in just a month and a half.

The actor added that his strict diet plan also played a major role in helping him gain the required weight for the role of Shazam. He revealed that he’s currently eating around 3700 calories a day along with supplements like fish oil, Omega-3s to bulk up. Levi will begin filming for Shazam! in February and that will go through May.

Shazam! is slated to hit the big screen on April 5, 2019.
