After the first lot of Captain Marvel official pictures hit the internet, a lot of information about the film’s storyline, plot and characters have started pouring in. The film stars Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson in the titular role.
Set in the ’90s of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel will dig deep into Carol Danvers’ origin story, revealing everything about her transformation from an Air Force pilot to becoming a superhero.
Fans will also get to see a young Carol Danvers in a flashback sequence. The role will be played by actress McKenna Grace.
During an interview with Collider while promoting director Rob Lowe’s “The Bad Seed”, Grace talked about how her dream of becoming a Marvel superhero finally turned into a reality.
“Oh, my gosh, I’ve always dreamed about and wanted to be a Marvel superhero,” the 12-year-old actress said. “When I found out I got that, I screamed. I did it while I was shooting The Haunting and The Bad Seed. I’d go from The Haunting to The Bad Seed, and then on the weekend, I would go fly to L.A. to train and learn how to do stuff for Captain Marvel.”
Grace found herself lucky enough to have got the opportunity to share screen space with Chris Evans’s Captain America and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes as a young Captain Marvel.
“I feel very grateful and thankful because I’ve gotten to work with Captain America (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), and I got to play young Captain Marvel,” The Bad Seed actress said. “I love Marvel so much. Every time a new Marvel movie comes out, my dad and I go and watch it. On Troupe Zero, we had a whole poll going, where I was Team Captain America and all the rest of the kids were Team Iron Man. I don’t understand it. When we would go and ask people who’s better, Captain America or Iron Man, most of the people said Iron Man, but I know that’s not true.”
Grace will soon appear in upcoming horror television film The Bad Seed which will air on Lifetime on September 9, 2018. The story revolves around a single father (Lowe) and his daughter Emma (Grace) who copes with a tragedy at her school. She will also be seen in the Amazon Studios film Troupe Zero, and Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House.
Captain Marvel will release in theaters on March 8, 2019.
