It looks like the program creators of Young Justice are ready with their story for season 3. Voice actor Khary Payton confirmed that he has begun recording for the animated TV series.
Payton voices Aqualad in Young Justice. The actor announced the news via his official twitter account. Fans can check out his tweet below.
Earlier, Payton was busy with his schedule playing as King Ezekiel for The Walking Dead. Recently, the show’s last episode from season 7 was aired on 2nd April.
Warner Bros. has also set up a website for Young Justice Season 3. However, fans would have to register with their E-mail ID to receive important updates regarding the animated series.
Young Justice TV series first aired on Cartoon Network in 2011. The show was the perfect replacement for Justice League Unlimited animated series. Unfortunately, after running two seasons, the studio canceled the series and aired its final episode in 2013.
Aqualad a.k.a Kaldur’ahm is the leader of Young Justice. The team features a group of young superheroes namely Robin, Kid Flash, Superboy, Artemis and Miss Martian.
The Justice League also plays a role in Young Justice. Characters like The Batman initially looked over the operations of the team. But after season 1, Grayson’s Robin went on to become Nightwing and took over Batman’s role.
As of now, the studio hasn’t revealed much on what to expect in season 3. The official press release stated the following.
The affection that fans have had for ‘Young Justice,’ and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us,” said Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series. “We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”
