Fans’ excitement for DC Extended Universe’s highly awaited superhero film Shazam! is increasing day by day. A new fan-made poster for Shazam! gives us a glimpse of how Zachary Levi will look like in the vein of Alex Ross.
Fan artist datrinti took to Twitter to showcase his latest DC-inspired work with a new Shazam! poster. The fan-made poster shows the lead character of the film, striking a heroic pose. The poster shows Levi wearing the yet-to-be-unveiled costume that seems to be more in line with the DC universe’s look than the comics. The filmmakers are yet to take the wraps off Shazam’s superhero costume.
Zachary Levi also recently teased the reveal of his full superhero costume on social media. He posted a picture of himself wearing the full Shazam! costume, but under a jacket.
As production work on Shazam! has already begun, a lot of updates on the film have started pouring in. Director David F. Sandberg recently shared the first look of the official logo of Sivana Industries, the company which is owned by Dr. Sivana, the film’s main antagonist, played by Mark Strong. Actor Asher Angel also teased his character by sharing a set photo earlier this week.
Touted as a humorous and lighthearted movie, Shazam! is the story of a 14-year-old teenage boy, Billy Batson, played by Asher Angel, who transforms himself into an adult superhero by saying the word Shazam.
Zachary Levi is working hard to get in shape for his titular role in DC’s upcoming movie. Levi’s fitness trainer Eric Blackmon recently recorded Levi doing some unilateral rows during the film’s production. He shared the video on Twitter that shows Levi lifting a whopping 80-pound dumb bell.
“Does that say 08 pounds @ZacharyLevi?” Blackmon wrote on Twitter. “Well, I guess it was left-handed.”
In response to Blackmon’s joke, Levi quoted his trainer’s tweet and wrote, “My goal is to be able to start any lawnmower, at any time, period.”
Shazam! is scheduled to open in theaters on April 5, 2019.
