Zack Snyder’s sudden exit from Justice League last year resulted in a major portion of the film being reshot by Avengers filmmaker Joss Whedon. It won’t be wrong to say that the final Justice League cut which was released wasn’t exactly what Snyder intended to present to his fans as a lot of his ideas were either cut, worked around, or completely changes during reshoots and post-production.
Well, Snyder didn’t disappoint his fans as he is often found sharing details about his Justice League cut on his official Vero account. Recently, a fan asked the director if the scene shown in Justice League final trailer in which Batman tells the rest of the world’s finest heroes about his Knightmare dream from Batman V Superman teased Darkseid.
“I had a dream. It was the end of the world. …I think it’s something more, something darker,” Batman says to the team In Justice League’s final trailer.
Snyder replied back confirming that the Batman was actually talking about Darkseid in that particular scene.
“No it’s Darker yet it is a Darker “Sied”,” the Justice League director replied.
It currently remains unclear if fans will ever get to see DC villain Darkseid in future DCEU movies, but there is a possibility that the character might show up outside of the Justice League movies most probably in Ava DuVernay’s New Gods movie for DC Films.
Recently concept artist Victor Martinez shared some never-seen-before concept arts on his website revealing new scenes from the DC film that were either altered or removed from the theatrical cut. One of the concept art featured the creation of Parademons but it was ultimately removed from the final cut for being too scary for audiences. The scene in question would have featured Ben Affleck’s Batman discovering human bodies being suspended in strange pods while being transformed into Parademons.
