It looks like Geoff Johns won’t be the only DC expert onboard The Flash movie. A new report suggests that Zack Snyder, the director who helped craft the DC Extended Universe thus far, will be part of the upcoming solo speedster movie as a producer.

A recent production listing on Production Weekly has revealed that Snyder is reportedly a producer of The Flash project along with other names such as Alex Gartner, Dan Mazer, Richard Suckle, Deborah Snyder, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Jon Berg and Denise Di Novi also included.

It was reported last December that Zack Snyder won’t be directing another DC film for Warner Bros. It was also stated that the director will be part of the DCEU as he was still a producer for James Wan’s Aquaman and Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984.

Since Snyder’s involvement with Aquaman and Wonder Woman 2 were revealed before Justice League’s release, some fans might have expected the director to part ways from the DCEU due to the shakeup after Justice League bomb at the box office. but if the report is true, its certainly good news that the studio may have decided to keep Snyder on board as perhaps an advisor.

The Flash movie is currently in the hands of John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein. The Duo were the writers for Spider-Man: Homecoming & have also directed comedic movies such as Vacation and the recent Game Night.

Though the duo have already worked on a comic book movie, it still wouldn’t be a smart decision to let them handle a prominent DC film title such as The Flash in a way a Marvel movie is made. Certainly, comedic elements alone aren’t enough for The Flash movie, especially if it stills plans on adapting the Flashpoint event.

Since Snyder is the person to thank for the casting of Ezra Miller and setting off The Flash’s arc with Justice League, he would be a vital person on board the project to discuss creative decisions.
