Zack Snyder’s Justice League: Jared Leto’s new look as Joker is haunting & reactions are wild [PHOTOS]

Jared Leto as the clown prince of crime is back again, probably for one last laugh in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. A recently released image reveals the Joker’s mysterious new haunting look and fans are all for it.

There’s no doubt that The Snyder cut campaign won the DCEU community their much-anticipated director’s cut of Justice League, as envisioned by Zack Snyder with his creative control. But it also came along with an additional budget for a reshoot and freedom to direct the feature as he sees it fit. Although Leto’s Joker wasn’t involved in Snyder’s initial conception for in the Justice League, the director has decided to involve the actor in his new addition and it seems like it’s a scene that fans would surely love.

Joker new look for Zack Snyder’s Justice League is for Knightmare sequence

In the new look revealed by VF, Leto‘s Joker has his iconic white face from Suicide Squad. However, his lips are smudged with makeup, hairs are longer as seen in the earlier photo. From the looks of it, The joker is in a cell. You can check out the image below.

Joker’s scene will be part of a Knightmare sequence that happens after the events of Darkseid’s invasion of Earth. An earlier image also showed Batman in the Knightmare attire which was also donned in Batman v Superman.

Batman and Joker will share this scene together, reveals Zack Snyder

“The cool thing about the scene is that it’s Joker talking directly to Batman about Batman,” Snyder said. “It’s Joker analyzing Batman about who he is and what he is. That’s the thing I also felt like fans deserved from the DC Universe. That is to say, the Jared Leto Joker and the Ben Affleck Batman, they never really got together. It seemed uncool to me that we would make it all the way through this incarnation of Batman and Joker without seeing them come together.”

So far, it’s fair to say that fans love the idea of seeing both the Batman and Joker exchange words, especially since Snyder’s version of the character hasn’t interacted directly with the supervillain. Moreover,  it would certainly be an interesting element to explore since the events unfold during a different time. You can check out some of the fan and industry reactions below.
