There seems to be no stop to the continuous promotional push for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Earlier on Wednesday, it was revealed that the 4-hour Snyder cut had officially been rated R for use of abusive language and violence. DCEU fans were treated with a stunning teaser art poster as well as the director sharing a new look at Jared Leto’s Joker – which is one of the new inclusions in the film, thanks to the additional photography. Now, the fandom was once again treated with another glimpse of the gritty film but this time, its the Dark Knight.
Ben Affleck’s Batman is revealed in a new strange environment (Arkham Asylum?) but donning a throwback look to the Batman v Superman’s Knightmare sequence. Apparently, the Dark Knight will share the screen with Leto’s clown prince of crime in the upcoming extended cut. You can check out the new still below.

Leto and Affleck were some of the few actors that were brought back to film extra new scenes for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. And knowing Snyder, the director didn’t miss on the opportunity to once again adapt and pay respect to this iteration of the mastermind supervillain.
I wanted to of course honor what had been created with him because I thought it was really cool,” Snyder said of Leto’s appearance and new look in an earlier interview with Beyond the Trailer. “But also in this, I’m not going to tell you what happens in the little scene, but some water has gone under the proverbial bridge between when last we saw Joker and this appearance. So he’s made some…he’s a road-weary Joker, I guess that’s a way of saying it…I will say it was fun having a segment of the band together for this little vignette if you will. Working with Jared was really amazing, his attention to detail, he really cares a lot about it being awesome. It was fun and everyone did an amazing (job).
Jared Leto praises Snyder & working with him in playing Joker
Leto, since his appearance as the Joker in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad – has moved past the role to work on other projects which includes Marvel Studios’ Morbius movie. The actor recently received a Golden Globe nomination for his role in The Little Things but is still all praises & excited to talk about his work with Snyder in the upcoming extended cut.
“I’ve been sworn to secrecy, but he’s an incredible filmmaker and I love his work,” Leto said. “It was cool to have the opportunity to collaborate with him. He’s got a crazy, infectious energy. I love his passion and commitment to what he does. Those are some of the reasons why fans have responded so passionately and deeply to him and his mission, because he’s true to his word and really is intent on creating something special that he believes in.”
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be available to stream on HBO Max on March 18. Stay tuned for more updates on the DC film.
