Almost one year since Netflix Geeked announced the development of a Zack Snyder-produced anime series, Twilight of the Gods, an update on the project has finally surfaced. The Norse mythology-based show features a huge star-studded cast playing intriguing Asgardian characters.
Snyder’s relationship with Netflix continues to bear fruitful new franchises with his Army of the Dead shared universe already gaining a new fanbase. The Justice League director is currently working on the production of a new Star Wars-type sci-fi saga for the network with Rebel Moon. But luckily, that hasn’t put Twilight of the Gods on the backburner. In fact, showrunner Eric Carrasco was recently prompted to offer an update on the series when a fan tweeted out to him.
Without giving away any crumbs of information that may put him in trouble, Carrasco assured high-quality animation for Twilight of the Gods since the team’s “got wall-to-wall perfectionists on this to boot.” teasing its visuals will leave fans “blown away by the level of artistry.” Readers can check out the tweet below.

Well *I* can't say anything, can I? They'll set the dogs on me!
I will only say that animation is one of our very best art forms, and it takes a lonnnng time, and we've got wall-to-wall perfectionists on this to boot. I think you'll be blown away by the level of artistry.

Not much is known regarding the series’ plot except it would be Snyder’s traditional mythological take so fans can rest assured of his blueprint in the movie. Though the director only serves as the executive producer.
Twilight of the Gods boasts a talented voice cast namely Jamie Chung as Hel Peter Stormare as Ulfr, Pilou Asbæk as Thor, John Noble as Odin, Jamie Clayton as The Seid-Kona, Kristopher Hivju as Andvari, Lauren Cohan as Inge, Paterson Joseph as Loki, Corey Stoll as Hrafknkel, Rahul Kohli as Egill, Stuart Martin as Leif and Sylvia Hoeks as Sigrid.
Earlier last December reports emerged that The Matrix Resurrections star Jessica Henwick is also cast to voice a German goddess known as Sandraudiga.
Twilight of the Gods does not have a release date attached yet.
