A new trailer for the Ranveer Singh starring biopic film 83 is here and fans on social media are already convinced the upcoming Bollywood flick is goosebumps material. The 3-minute long trailer highlights the rise of Indian underdogs from being a team that no one believed in, to becoming the champions of the 1983 cricket world cup.
It looks like this December will surely be one to remember for Indian moviegoers as well as avid cricket fans thanks to Kabir Khan’s upcoming flick, 83 starring Ranveer Singh as the main lead playing as Kapil Dev. Deepika Padukone appears in the trailer as well offering fans their first clear look at the star playing as Romi, Kapil Dev’s wife.
Earlier this week, the film’s ensemble of A-lister cast also shared a new poster with Ranveer Singh’s Kapil Dev front and center with the rest of the cast in the background, donning the team’s attire. Now, the new trailer shares more glimpses at the ups and downs team India initially faced and their rise to the top to face West Indies in the 1983 Cricket World Cup finals played at Lord’s, England.

Directed by Kabir Khan, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Sahil Khattar, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Tahir Raj Bhasin.
83 is scheduled to release on December 24th in 3D in theatres. The film will be available to watch in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
