Warner Bros. has finally rolled out the first full-length trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The trailer for the next Wizarding World franchise installment takes fans on a brief trip back to Hogwarts. The Fantastic Beasts 2 trailer offers the first good look at Jude Law’s Albus Dumbledore in action.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the sequel to 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The film did quite well at the box office earning a whopping $814M worldwide. If you can remember, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America) at the end of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will follow the story as Grindelwald has escaped prison and has set off recruiting followers to help ensure that only pure-blood wizards rule the world. By his side is Vinda Rosier (Poppy Corby-Tuech) who is one of Grindelwald’s most trusted followers. The new trailer shows Grindelwald held at wand-point in the end.
Fans reacted positively to Fantastic Beasts 2 trailer that shows Beasts’ debut of young Albus Dumbledore who is taking help from his former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to stop Grindelwald. They felt nostalgic looking at Hogwarts, the world’s most prestigious school of witchcraft, and the Deathly Hallows in the trailer. In fact, some of them are quite excited to see young Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. You can check out fans reactions to the film’s trailer below.
David Yates is directing Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. Set partially in London and New York City, the film will see Eddie Redmayne, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, and Katherin Waterston reprising their roles from the first Fantastic Beats film. They will be joined by newcomers Zoe Kravitz, Claudia Kim, and Callum Turner.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to land in theaters on Nov. 16, 2018.
