DC Fans Have A Ridiculous Plan To Sabotage Black Panther RT Score & Ruin Experience With Spoilers

It seems some DC fans aren’t happy with the excellent initial response, reviews and ratings that the recently released Marvel superhero movie Black Panther received from critics and the audiences. They are planning to sabotage the film and have in fact made a Facebook event called “Give Black Panther a Rotten Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes.”

UPDATE: A report from Variety has confirmed that Facebook has taken action against it by removing the group.

The event has been purposely created to encourage people to go to the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes and give a low score to the Marvel movie Black Panther. At the time of writing of the article, the event has around 2,000 people on board. The event will start on February 15, Black Panther‘s preview night, and will run through Feb 24.

The Facebook event has a description which reads as “Given the massive success of the audience review rigging on the Rotten Tomatoes site for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and due to the sudden rise in those disgruntled with Disney business practices among other factors especially due to the corporate manipulations which created falsified bad press for the DCEU, I feel that it’s time to strike back at all those under Disney and bring down the house of mouse’s actions for paying off the critics that hurt DC Comics on film and for other parties affected by them.”

The unsatisfied DC plans are even planning to create similar events for every future Marvel offering in the future. The whole idea of deliberately encouraging people to give negative reviews on a movie, especially for a movie like Black Panther, is really disappointing.

Black Panther is reportedly the first black superhero movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie premiered in Los Angeles on January 29, 2018. A lot of fans have taken to social media to express their excitement for the movie. The Marvel action movie is eyeing to garner $120 million in its opening weekend. The film will hit theater screens on February 16, 2018.
