Deadpool 2 makers have just released a new international poster for the film. Rob Liefeld shared the poster on his official Instagram account. The international poster looks quite similar to the film’s first poster that re-created the famous scene from the 1983 drama-romance Flashdance. The poster shows Deadpool showered with shell casings instead of water as it was originally in the classic movie. You can check out the post below.
Deadpool creator Liefeld told ComicBook.com that he is quite excited about the upcoming film.
“I can’t stop smiling!” the Deadpool creator said. “Watching these characters that I first put to page so many years back, characters that the fans adore and have been clamoring to see brought to brilliant life on screen as only Ryan [Reynolds], Josh [Brolin], Zazie [Beetz] could portray them and beautifully shot by Master [David] Leitch…. this is a dream come true. I’m so excited for everyone!”
Deadpool 2 is currently going through reshoots to add more scenes with Josh Brolin’s and Zazie Beetz’s characters, Cable and Domino respectively. Some are even anticipating that the reshoot is being done in response to audience’s negative reactions to the test screenings of Deadpool 2. Some leaked photos from the set hints that Juggernaut might be the main villain in Deadpool 2.
In a recent interview with Flickering Myth, Josh Brolin, who is portraying the role of time-traveling mutant Cable, said that Deadpool 2 will be very different from the first film.
“Deadpool [2] I know is going to be very fun and funny and fresh because it’s very different from the first Deadpool,” Brolin said.
Notably, the promotional standees for the Deadpool sequel have already been sent to a lot of movie theaters in North America. The standees feature Deadpool posing with a giant letter “D,” with a caption that reads, “It’s Bigger.” You can check out the picture of the promotional standees below.
Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 stars Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, and Morena Baccarin in the lead roles. The film is set to hit theatre screens on May 18, 2018.
