UPDATE: RUMOR: Dora The Explorer Movie – Micke Moreno Returns To US Amid Filming After On-Set Romance With Isabela Moner

Paramount Player’s Dora The Explorer Movie currently in production in Village Roadshow Studios, Queensland, Australia seems to be caught in a controversial moment following an on-set romance between two lead stars.

UPDATE: Though the report of Moreno’s on-set romance with Moner remains unconfirmed, The 20-year-old actor has been replaced by Jeffrey Wahlberg, the nephew of Mark Wahlberg to play as Dora’s cousin Deigo. It seems like reshoots did take place. Furthermore, Paramount offered a statement to Collider saying, “Micke left the production for personal reasons” and neither did Moreno’s representative respond for comments.

According to a new report coming from Goldcoast Bulletin, the film’s main star Isabella Moner, 17, who plays as Dora is rumored to have been caught in an on-set romance with actor Micke Moreno, 20, who plays as Dora’s cousin Diego. Following the incidents, it seems to have resulted in Moreno returning to the US.

Production is currently taking on location at Palm Beach Currumbin High which is being used as the school Dora goes to in the film called Silver Lake High.

Crew members who spoke to Goldcoast Bulletin said that Moreno and Isabella were more than just friends. “The Joke is they were kissing cousins,” one said.

Moreno is known for playing as Martin in Escobar: Paradise Lost movie alongside Benicio Del Toro. Moner also got quite the spotlight after playing as Izabella in Transformers: The Last Knight. Earlier this year, she also appeared as Isabel Reyes in Sicario: Day of the Soldado.

The Bulletin has contacted the film’s publicist and Moreno’s management for a comment but hasn’t received a response past the deadline that was set for last night.

It seems like Moreno has been fired from the project though it hasn’t been confirmed yet. If so, it would lead to the studio searching for another actor to recast and potentially extensive reshoots of scenes involving Moreno. It would not only be a publicity disaster but also lead to an issue budget wise. Readers can click here to check out the story from Goldcoast Bulletin which is available for access via Facebook.

Dora the Explorer movie is expected to wrap production in November. It’s currently unknown if this could lead to a delay in the project’s wrap up.

Dora the Explorer movie will hit theatres on August 2, 2019.
