Disney and Pixar resorted to a unique way to celebrate the home video release of The Incredibles 2. Disney-Pixar took to Twitter to release a new video featuring Toy Story’s fan-favorite character Woody and Bullseye getting a superhero treatment. You can check out the video below.
Disney Pixar’s superhero sequel, Incredibles 2, performed impressively well raking in over $1 billion at the global box office. Incredibles 2 is the seventh animated film to hit the $1 billion mark joining Frozen, Minions, Toy Story 3, Despicable Me 3, Finding Dory, and Zootopia in the list.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recently announced the names of 25 animated features that have been submitted for consideration in this year’s Oscar race. The list includes Pixar’s Incredibles 2, Wes Anderson’s stop-motion Isle of Dogs and Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The Oscar nominations will be announced on Jan. 22, 2019 and the 91st annual Academy Awards will be held on Feb. 24, 2019.
Written and directed by Brad Bird, Incredibles 2, premiered earlier this year in June, 14 years after its predecessor first hit theaters. The film’s story follows the original 2004 film. It shows Helen taking up her superhero job to save the world with Bob staying at home to take care of the three kids Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack.
Incredibles 2 stars the voice talents of Craig T. Nelson as Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible, Holly Hunter as Helen Parr/Elastigirl, Samuel L. Jackson as Lucius Best/Frozone, Sarah Vowell as Violet, Huck Milner as Dash, Catherine Keener as Evelyn Deavor/Screenslaver, Sophia Bush as Voyd, Brad Bird as Edna Mode and Bob Odenkirk as Winston Deavor.
The film’s digital release includes an all-new mini-movie Auntie Edna, 10 never-before-revealed scenes, filmmaker’s commentary and the touching theatrical short “Bao”.
Incredibles 2 is available for download on Digital in HD, 4K Ultra HD, and Movies Anywhere now and will be released on 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Atmos audio, Blu-ray and DVD release to follow on November 6.
