The highly anticipated Terminator 6 is currently undergoing principal photography in Budapest, Hungary. It is believed that the production will soon head back to the United States after filming in Hungary and Spain. Terminator 6 will feature Arnold Schwarzenegger playing an older T-800 type Terminator. It will also mark the return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor.
It is expected that the upcoming film will give T-800 a proper ending as it will introduce a brand-new type of Terminator played by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor Gabriel Luna. The upcoming film will mark the launch of a new reboot trilogy by producer James Cameron.
Schwarzenegger recently took to Twitter to share a picture of himself training and sharing his knowledge of pumping up with Luna, his successor in the Terminator universe, in a gym.
“Machine learning,” the longtime Terminator actor captioned the picture.
The picture proves that Schwarzenegger is now back in the gym, looking buff as ever, after his recent emergency heart surgery.
Terminator 6 is being touted as a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day. This means that the reboot will ignore the events of Terminator 3, Salvation and Genisys.
Earlier this month, Paramount Pictures released the first photo from the sci-fi sequel putting its female cast front and center. The picture offered the first look at Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor, and two other new characters played by Mackenzie Davis and Natalia Reyes.
While nothing much about Terminator 6 has been announced by the makers, it is expected the movie will center on Natalie Reyes’ character Dani Ramos, a young Mexican woman who finds herself being hunted by a new type of Terminator from the future. Mackenzie Davis is playing a character named Grace, who is described as a soldier assassin. It is speculated that the character could be a cyborg from the future.
The Tim Miller directed Terminator 6 is currently set to debut in theatres on Nov. 22, 2019.
